Talking about Coronavirus

These are worrying times for us all and it’s undoubtedly true that your children will know that something is up.

Some parents have said that, where appropriate, asking your child what they know about coronavirus and allowing them to lead the conversation to avoid introducing information which could introduce anxiety has worked wonders.

This could also include:

- Social stories ( Example 1 / Example 2 )

- Props (Example - we suggest setting up this quick activity to demonstrate rather than just showing the video)

- Videos (Example)

... as well as offering reassurance and explaining speculation.

Please feel free to contact us if you would like support in talking about coronavirus with your children

We understand you may not be looking for childcare at this moment in time, however Sennies are still working round the clock to source SEN Childcare for families all over the UK.
