Days & Hours:

TEMPORARY SUMMER ROLE

4 days per week, 5–6 hour days -

20th July - 26th July, 10am - 3pm or 12pm - 5/6pm

27th July - 2nd August 10 am - 3pm or 12pm - 5/6pm

03rd August - 06th August 10 am - 3pm or 12pm - 5/6pm

19th August - 23rd August hours as above

24th August - 01 September 4 days per week 5- 6 hours daily

Exact days are fairly flexible to be discussed

Note: Family holiday 7–17 August — no cover required during this period

Essential Skills/Traits:
  • 2+ years experience supporting people with SEN
  • Positive, warm, patient and energetic — with a genuine love of spending time with people with complex needs
  • Confident with PECS — or enthusiastic to learn
  • Some knowledge of Makaton — or openness to learn basic signs
  • Knowledge of or interest in Intensive Interaction as a communication approach
  • A genuine love of reading aloud, storytelling and sharing books
  • Confident providing personal care including feeding support and assisting with drinking
  • Able to offer consistent hydration and snack prompts throughout the day
  • Comfortable with routine-based structure — able to build and maintain a calm, regulated daily rhythm
  • Able to support gentle movement and outdoor walks, encouraging participation positively
  • Confident communicating feedback to parents verbally or in writing at the end of each day
  • Full, clean UK driving licence
  • Comfortable around dogs
