£18 to £25 per hour gross, depending on experience

Days & Hours:

TEMPORARY contract – 16 November to 18 December 2026

(ideally available for some paid settling-in sessions w/c 11 November)

Four afternoons per week, approx. 16 to 18 hours:

Monday 12–5pm
Wednesday 12–4pm
Thursday 12–4pm
Friday 12–5pm

More hours can be discussed.

Essential Skills/Traits:

2+ years of SEN childcare experience, ideally with ADHD and early trauma, and with children who need constant one-to-one supervision
A trauma-informed, relational approach: calm, predictable, patient and consistent, even when B9 tests boundaries or becomes overwhelmed
Strong co-regulation skills: noticing early signs of overwhelm and following an agreed plan to help him settle
Reliable, consistent and punctual, and able to commit to the full temporary period
A full UK driving licence and own car (B9 travels to activities by car, taxi or public transport; travel costs reimbursed)
Comfortable and happy with outdoor activities
Warm, honest communication

Desirable Skills/Traits:

Experience with looked-after children and with FASD (or a willingness to learn)
Training in PACE, Theraplay, Zones of Regulation or similar
Experience with sensory needs and visual timetables
