Approx 47.5 hours per week

Monday to Friday:

  • Breakfast and School drop off: 6am to 8:30am

and then

  • 1pm to 8pm with a 1.5 hour break in the middle.

Essential Skills/Traits:
  • 2+ years of SEN childcare experience 
  • Degree-level qualification in Occupational Therapy, Special Education, Developmental Psychology, or a closely related field
  • Extensive experience supporting older children with complex needs, including full personal care and daily living routines
  • Physically capable and confident in supporting a tall, larger-built child with feeding, bathing, dressing, and mobility
  • Willing and able to relocate to Dubai and commit to a long-term placement
  • Calm, patient, and emotionally regulated, maintaining consistency even in challenging situations
  • Highly proactive, able to use initiative and professional judgement rather than waiting for direction
  • Warm, nurturing, and relationship-focused while maintaining clear, appropriate boundaries
  • Comfortable facilitating physical activities, movement-based play, and sports as part of daily care
  • Professional, discreet, and respectful of family privacy at all times
  • Strong communicator, able to work collaboratively with parents, therapists, and wider professionals
  • Confident in following, implementing, and contributing to established care plans and therapeutic strategies
  • Reliable, committed, and motivated to deliver an elite standard of care, combining clinical-level competence with genuine warmth and compassion

Main duties/responsibilities
  • Provide consistent, nurturing care tailored to B8’s developmental level, ensuring he feels safe, supported, and understood throughout the day
  • Support all aspects of daily living, including assistance with feeding, bathing, dressing, and personal hygiene, using a calm and respectful approach
  • Maintain clear, predictable routines and support smooth transitions between activities to reduce anxiety and promote emotional regulation
  • Encourage communication and engagement through patient interaction, play, and everyday activities, reinforcing language and social skills
  • Implement and reinforce strategies recommended by the special needs school, speech and language therapy, and occupational therapy within the home environment
  • Support participation in physical activities, play, and outings, ensuring safety while promoting enjoyment and appropriate movement
  • Accompany B8 to and from school and extracurricular activities as required, providing consistent support and supervision
  • Observe and respond to B8’s emotional and sensory needs, using reassurance, structure, and de-escalation strategies when needed
  • Work collaboratively with the family and professionals, sharing observations and updates to ensure consistency and continuity of care
  • Maintain a positive, patient, and proactive approach, building a trusting relationship that supports B8’s wellbeing and development
