Term Time (Approx 25 hours per week)

  • Monday - Friday - 2pm-7pm + additional hours available.

School Holidays (Approx 50 hours per week)

  • Monday - Friday - 8am - 6pm

  • 2+ Years SEN Childcare experience
  • Full, clean UK Driving Licence

Main duties/responsibilities
  • Provide attentive and compassionate care to both children, supporting their individual needs and interests.
  • Support G11 with 1:1 attention for creative activities, homework, and personal time, fostering her independence and encouraging her hobbies such as drawing, painting, and crafting.
  • Engage B7 in active, movement-based activities, including walks, playground visits, swimming, and outdoor play, to help regulate his energy and support his physical development.
  • Assist B7 with communication by supporting his use of an AAC device, modelling key words, and encouraging verbal and non-verbal expression.
  • Support B7 in developing functional life skills, including independent dressing, using cutlery, potty training, and requesting items, promoting autonomy and self-sufficiency.
  • Over time, learn and apply aspects of the ABA programme at home to reinforce skills and routines from school, working closely with his wider support team and therapists.
  • Provide support with G11’s homework and educational activities.
  • Encourage learning and skill-building for both children in a nurturing and engaging environment.
  • Assist parents by providing respite and support, ensuring children are well cared for during busy periods.
  • Maintain open communication with parents regarding children’s progress, routines, and needs.
  • Be adaptable and proactive in responding to the family’s dynamic schedule and requirements.
  • Drive children to and from school, activities, and appointments as required.
  • Organise and accompany children on local outings, playdates, and extracurricular activities.
  • Build trusting, positive relationships with both children and the wider support network.
  • Maintain a patient, kind, and flexible approach while fostering a safe, fun, and supportive environment.
  • Contribute to the children’s emotional, social, and developmental growth, ensuring both are happy, engaged, and thriving.
