Wage / Salary: Approx £40,560- £46,644 per annum gross
 
Driver: Not essential
 
Live In/out: Live out
 
Pets: None
 
Days & Hours: 
During school term: 39 hours per week
Monday 1-7, Tuesday 9-6, Wednesday 9-6, Thursday 1-7 and Friday 9-6
 
Plus one evening of babysitting every 2 weeks
 
Outside of term:
Mon - Fri 10-6
 
Start Date: ASAP
 
Essential Skills/Traits:
2+ years SEN Childcare Experience supporting a child with Autism
Calm, patient, understanding and proactive approach, especially in relation to communication
Demonstrable experience supporting distressed behaviours
Physically fit and active, and enjoys being outdoors in nature
Knowledge or understanding of therapies such as SALT and OT
Organised and capable of planning activities and days out
Prior experience in communicating with children with delayed speech/semi verbal
Willingness to travel with the family once or twice a year abroad and/or in the UK
 
Desirable Skills/Traits:
Prior experience supporting toileting
Prior experience in teaching or tutoring literacy in primary school–aged children
Comfortable working on early literacy in different ways and creative in getting across concepts.
Education qualification or experience in an educational setting
