This course is designed for parents and caregivers who are: New to the world of SEN (Special Educational Needs) support and EHCPs (Education, Health, and Care Plans) Feeling confused, overwhelmed, or unsure where to begin in the process Eager to gain confidence and become effective advocates for their child’s needs What you'll get: This user-friendly course includes almost 1.5 hours of video content, divided into short, easy-to-follow chapters. You can work through each section at your own pace and revisit them whenever needed as you move through the EHCP process with your child. By the end of this course, you'll feel confident in navigating and understanding key areas of the EHCP process, including: * Making reasonable adjustments for your child * Understanding funding and SEN support in schools * The graduated approach to SEN support * The legal criteria for an EHCP needs assessment * How to apply for an EHCP needs assessment * The assessment process and timelines * The draft and final plan stages * Choosing the right school for your child * How to handle appeals, complaints, and judicial review * Preparing for and understanding annual reviews This course will give you the knowledge and confidence to ensure your child gets the support they need, and empower you to advocate effectively on their behalf.
